Prayer Box: Let Go and Let God

Prayer Box Let Go and Let God

Let our worries, fears, desires and wishes be made known to God in prayers.  God hears our prayers, whether we pray silently (in our hearts and minds) or we pray out loud.  Nevertheless, writing down our prayers is a great way to focus our thoughts on the things we are praying for and this process also allows us to immerse our anxious mind in prayer. Written prayers give us more clarity and purpose to our petition and request to God.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Take a piece of paper and write down the thing you want to pray for and put it in a prayer box.  A prayer box allows you to clarify and organize the things that you want and are thankful for, as well as those things that you are anxious and fret about.  Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.  1 Peter 5:7

Writing down our prayers allows us to present our request to God and tucking away the paper in the Prayer Box-Porcelain denotes that we let go and let God, and we have the absolute faith that our prayers will be answered in His perfect time.  You can also have a separate prayer box, Prayer Box-Blessed and Grateful for all the prayers that have been answered.

A prayer box can also be used for keeping small sentimental items like your first concert ticket stub and  handwritten notes from an awesome friend; souvenir items from different places like coins and stamps; collection of your random thoughts; your goals and intentions written on Cards-Pass It On-Handle with Prayer, etc.

Fill your prayer boxes with things that remind you of what to pray for and what to be grateful for.  Handle your prayer box with care!
