The Fourth of July: Freedom Day
The Fourth of July is one of the most celebrated occasions in the United States of America. It marks the birthday of our nation—our Independence Day. Not only that, for many the Fourth of July is the day of salvation. “This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it—Psalm 118:24” as printed in a beautiful Pillow-This Is The Day (Tapestry).
This decorative Pillow-This Is The Day (Tapestry) is a unique gift for your friends and loved ones to commemorate the Fourth of July, that God’s tender mercy and unfailing love led our Founding Fathers to fight for our freedom.
The Fourth of July or America’s Independence Day is a day of festivities to honor God and our country. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33:12). It is a day of fireworks, family get-togethers, outdoor parties, parades and other summertime activities. You can decorate your lawns and yards with beautiful red, blue and white banners and American flag by hanging it on the Stake-Garden Flag to rejoice with the whole neighborhood.
Our great nation is found in Christian principles and we ought to keep Jesus Christ the center of our celebration. Let us not forget to share the Gospel to others in this great occasion. The Promise Box-Gods Word is an awesome gift to our friends and colleagues to reflect on God’s goodness to us not only as a nation but as individuals.
There are so many awesome and exciting ways to celebrate the Fourth of July, and one of them is to honor and appreciate our pastors who labor and sacrifice for our spiritual growth. The ones who work and toil in teaching and preaching to keep us free from the slavery of sins. “Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching.” 1 Timothy 5:17. He deserves to know that we care, and a simple gift like a pastor mug is a perfect gift he will surely appreciate.
The Fourth of July is when we pay tribute to God’s role in shaping our great nation and a salute to our forefathers bravery who risked their lives for our freedom. The Spirit of the Lord filled our Founding Fathers to declare freedom and independence from England on that 4th of July 1776.
Let the Spirit of the Lord continue to rule our nation. As the scripture says, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians 3:17.
