Though we are living in a digital world and you can access a planner on your computer or mobile phone in just one click. There is nothing compared to the benefits of having an actual or a Christian planner that will nourish your faith in God while managing your busy schedules throughout the year.

Here are some reasons why you should keep an actual planner or agenda that brings you closer to God.

To keep track of your schedule anytime.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1

Most of the 2020 planners have a monthly spread or some pages where you can write down and easily access all your schedules, special occasions, and events that you need to remember within the month. “But all things should be done decently and in order.” – 1 Corinthians 14:40. Thus, having a planner can actually help you to be more efficient, productive and to avoid procrastination as well. “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time because the days are evil. “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” – Psalm 90:12

Flipping the pages of your planner every day will remind you of God’s faithfulness and steadfast love. And, you will see how blessed you are because He wakes you up and He gives you another day to live. “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22-23. A planner works as a calendar too — it will remind you of some special dates such as Birthdays or Anniversaries. “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” – Psalm 139:13-14

It will keep you motivated.

“All this also comes from the Lord Almighty,

whose plan is wonderful, whose wisdom is magnificent.” – Isaiah 28:29

Define your goals and plans in your agenda/planner by doodling or writing using colored pens or markers. Focus on your goals, keep track of your progress, work hard for it and lift your plans to God. “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.” – Ecclesiastes 9:10. Also, remember to create clear visions and to look for a better and bigger picture to keep you motivated. Plan your life well and ask God for wisdom in all your decisions and surely He will help you achieve all your goals at the right time. “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart, yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” – Ecclesiastes 3:11

“Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” – Psalm 55:22

Your faith-filled or Christian planner can also serve as your devotional planner where you can record all your prayers to God. It is also a great opportunity to disconnect to the world and have a quiet time with God at least once a day. “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.” – Psalm 143:8. A planner will also help you to improve your relationship with God by writing your thoughts, love letters to Him and by entrusting your burdens and cares to Him. “In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” – Proverbs 16:9. Lift up everything to God and express how much you love Him in your devotional planner. Commit everything to Him and seek Him always by reading His Word. “May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” – Psalm 20:4

“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.” – Ecclesiastes 9:10

Keeping a Christian daily planner can also be a great hobby and stress reliever for people of all ages. So, use your talent and let your creativity flow by decorating your planner with bright and colorful embellishments such as stickers, washi tapes, pens, markers, and stamps. “He has filled them with the skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them skilled workers and designers.” – Exodus 35:35. Make a goal setting sheet or a collage by cutting and pasting some photos in your planner such as your dream travel destination, things that you want to purchase or anything that will keep you inspired and motivated. “And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills—to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver, and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.” – Exodus 31:3-5
