3 Ways to Boost Your Productivity at Workplace as a Christian
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Philippians 4:13
Let’s be frank, there were times that we feel tired and unmotivated at work, especially if we spend long hours in our desks and in front of our computer. However, as a Christian, we have a great heritage and weapon from God to deal with it. So, here are some Christian ways to boost your productivity at work.
1. Display God’s Word on your desk.
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” – Isaiah 40:29
God’s Word will inspire and strengthen us. Choose your favorite inspirational or motivational quote or verse and put it in a wooden message box, frame or small shadow box. You can also add a little touch by putting up washi tapes, stickers or some embellishments or you can simply purchase an inexpensive Scripture artwork in the market or art and craft stores.
2. Listen to Praise and Worship songs.
“Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.” – Isaiah 25:1
Sometimes our working environment may tend to get noisy and it will affect our mood. So, invest in a noise-canceling headset and play some praise and worship songs on your mobile phone or device. Singing and listening to praise and worship song can help you to work more efficiently and faster — it will also uplift your soul.
3. Organize your desk or workspace.
“Let all things be done decently and in order.” – 1 Corinthians 14:40
Having an organized desk or workspace will help you to be more disciplined and productive at work. So, set aside some time to declutter and revamp your desk or workspace. Grab a multi-tiered letter tray or drawer to make your paper, documents, and files much neater and nicer. You can also use a mug or some colorful containers to keep your pens, markers, memo pads and other desk essentials organized.
Adding a touch of green in your workspace can help you improve your mood and creativity. So, buy a small indoor plant, cactus or succulents and put it in a versatile holder to make it look more pleasant. Also, don’t forget to pray before going to your work and ask God to inspire you, give you the strength to carry on and to be a blessing to everyone in your workspace.
