3 Ways to Create a Warm and Inviting Home
Our home is where our family takes refuge from the hustle and bustle of life. A warm and welcoming home doesn’t always need luxurious furniture or expensive paintings hanging on every side of the walls, but it needs to be a place where our family and guests as well can find joy, love, peace, and comfort as soon as they enter our home.
Here are three tips to make your home a place where you and your family will always want to be.
1. Let God be the center of your home.
The Bible tells us that unless the Lord builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Speak words of faith over your home and let God be the center of your home and family. Build a family altar (night is the best time for family altar) where you can spend precious moments with the Lord in prayer, read the Bible and talk about His faithfulness and goodness. As you allow God to be the center of your home, you will live in peace, joy and harmony despite world’s chaos and confusion.
2. Let Your Walls Speak!
Your walls are one of the focal points of your home that reflect who you are, so incorporate some home décor that doesn’t only beautify your place, but at the same time foster gratefulness and gratitude. You can hang on the walls of your living room this beautiful ‘Sing Praises to His Name’ [s1] wood and glass arched window wall art with lovely design and meaningful inspiration. This faith-based wall art comes with pages of famous hymns of praise and worshipful poems and reminds family, friends, and guests who enter your home to praise God for the incredible gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ, His Son.
2. Let your family spend quality time together.
The kitchen is one of the best spots in your home where you can spend quality time with your family every day. Let every member of the family write their favorite menu for the day on Our Daily Bread – Memo Chalkboard so whoever is in charge of cooking knows what recipe to prepare for the day. Or you may also hang this Coffee Canvas on the wall of your kitchen or breakfast room and enjoy long conversations with friends and family while having a cup of coffee. A family that eats together enjoys the meal together.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord—Joshua 24:15
Your home speaks so much about who you are, and the atmosphere you create can describe the condition of your heart even before you say a word.
