4 Tips to Make Your Wife Happy

4 Tips to Make Your Wife Happy

“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her…” – Ephesians 5:25

Your wife is a precious gift from the Lord that you should nurture and cherish for the rest of your life. As a Christian husband, affirming your love and making your wife happy is your duty and responsibility too. And, having a happy wife has many benefits and it is one of the keys to a lasting marriage.

Make your wife happy with these tips.

Love and respect her.

“Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.” – 1 Peter 3:7

Love her with all your heart and always do your best to protect her. Express your love to her by simply saying “I love you” and bring a smile to her face by giving her gifts such as jewelry, book, Word Bible for Women, apparel, personalized mug, etc. during her birthday or special occasions. Spend quality time with her, pray together every day, read the Bible, date her, give her hugs and kisses, engage in a heart to heart with each other and learn new things together. Also, you should treat your wife with respect and don’t say anything that will hurt her. Be very careful with your actions and words, even when you have an argument.  “Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.” – Colossians 3:19

Be a great provider.

“Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” – 1 Timothy 5:8

Get a job to provide your family needs and work hard for them. But, make sure your Sundays are for the Lord. You are also responsible for their mental, emotional and spiritual needs. Live a life that pleases God and be an example to your family — lead them to church every Sunday, pray as a family, have a devotion to God, attend Bible studies and encourage your children to read the Bible by giving them a Bible or Illustrating Bible.

Compliment or praise her.

“Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:” – Proverbs 31:28

Always compliment your wife, but be honest and sincere regarding this matter. Say nice things to her and write simple notes telling how much you appreciate her. Use a sticky note to express your gratitude to your wife and leave it on your fridge. Give her flowers with a card or handwritten letters — it will make her heart flutter. Thank her for all her love, care and sacrifices for the family.

Help her in household chores.

“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” – Hebrews 13:16

Don’t wait for your wife to ask you for help. Help her with household chores, grocery shopping or cook together. Wash the dishes, clean the yard, vacuum or mop the floor during your day off. Surprise her by making her breakfast on weekends or Mother’s Day.

Always, reassure your wife and continue to pursue her even after marriage. Be faithful and true to her — keep your marriage pure and protect yourself from sin and temptation by having a deep relationship with God. “You should be faithful to your wife, just as you take water from your own well.” – Proverbs 5:15
