3 Ways to Share Your Faith in the Workplace

3 Ways to Share Your Faith in the Workplace

“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.’” – Mark 16:15

Let’s be honest, many conversations in our workplace are full of gossip, problems and negativity. However, as a Christian, our faith plays an important role in our workplace and we are called to reflect Christ. Let us be a good example and share the love of Christ through these tips.

1. Pray for everyone in your workplace

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:18

Always have time to pray and read the Bible or your favorite devotional book before going to work. Pray that God’s love and faithfulness shines through you. You can even increase your productivity by praying in your workplace. Ask God for guidance and protection. Include your boss, colleagues, co-workers and everyone in your daily prayers.

2. Don’t be ashamed of your Faith

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” – Romans 1:16

Don’t be ashamed of your faith.  Don’t hesitate to bring your Bible or Bible Journal to work and tell them that you are a Christian. When you have the opportunity– share them how God saved you from wrath and sin. Share the Word of God by giving your closest co-workers some books, Christian journal or sticky prayer note set — to remind them that God is our Saviour and King.

3. Be a living testimony

“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” – I Corinthians 11:1

Let your life be a living testimony to others– be a great example to your co-workers. Live a life that is pleasing to God and always seek to bring the Glory of God in all areas of your life. Talk with love, kindness, compassion, and be very careful with your words.

Remember, God places you in your workplace not only to earn for a living, but also to be a living epistle read by men and win soul for the kingdom of God.

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”- I Corinthians 10:31 and “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” – Matthew 5:16.
