Simple Check List for Your Wedding Preparation

Simple Check List for Your Wedding Preparation

It is written in Proverbs 18:22, “The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the Lord.” Indeed, it is a treasure to find the love of your life that you will be spending all the rest of your life with. You are finally done searching and you are ready to take it to the next level which is marriage. After considering all things carefully and you both finally decided that you want to get married, the next step will be wedding preparations. The wedding day is just one day, but preparations will be pretty tough.

Whether you still have one year or just a few months left before your big day, here are the planning list to keep you sane on your wedding preparations.

1. Budget

Don’t worry, you got this. It is best to know how much you will be spending on your big day. Work on your budget. Knowing your financial capability and limitation will be a huge help to balance reality and expectation on your wedding preparation.

2. Date and venue

Choosing a date and venue will never be easy, but if you are prepared, it will be. Pick at least three dates for your wedding day, so you can be flexible. Having dates to choose from will give you less stress and will help you in finding and booking for the venue. In finding your ceremony and reception venue, choose the best by aligning it to your preference. You must both decide that your venue is not only beautiful, but also convenient for your guests.

3. Wedding Rings

Finding the right wedding rings or wedding bands that suit both your style is a must since you will be wearing it all the time. Regardless of the price of your ring, you must not forget that it will be the symbol of your infinity and beyond.

4. Wedding Gown / Suit and other accessories

Knowing the place and time of your wedding will help you focus on your search. Whether you will be having a daytime ceremony on a beach or exchange vows on a cathedral, choose the best wedding gown and other accessories (like gold bracelet and pendant) that are appropriate for the venue and of course to your taste.

5. Main and Secondary Sponsors / Guest List

Now that you have the budget to work on, with the date and venue, it is time for you to choose your main and secondary sponsors as well as the guest list. Decide on how many guest you want to invite considering your budget and venue. Even if you will have more guests or less, it doesn’t matter, what matters is you will be celebrating your big day with the closest ones in your hearts.

6. Officiating Minister and Wedding Planners

You can’t have a wedding ceremony without these major and supporting people. Make sure to talk and book for your officiating minister. If you want, you may also hire a wedding planner that will help you in finding caterers, musicians, videographers, photographer, florist and even your hair and make-up stylist. If you can’t hire a professional wedding planner, you can ask your family and friends to help you plan and help you not to miss anything.

A wedding ceremony is just a day, but a better planning and preparation will make it not just a day but a moment that will last forever.
