6 Ways to a Daily Life of Faithfulness
Yes, faith in God is the basis of Christianity and faithfulness is the key to living a victorious Christian life. Our constant and steadfast faith in God is the key to receiving the abundant blessings and promises of God. “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)
To remain faithful in the midst of everyday life may seem difficult, but it should not be that way. Here are 5 simple ways to experience a daily life of faithfulness to God.
1. Seek God early in the morning.
Find a quiet corner where you can spend some precious time with God alone. Dawn devotion (early morning) is the best time to reflect on God’s Word and pray to Him with thanksgiving. Read the Scriptures by heart every day and put in writing what God lays in your heart in a bible journal. The more you read and reflect on the Word of God, the more you know Him, and to know Him more is to trust Him even more. The Bible is filled with accounts where God remains faithful and true to His Word and promises. A consistent daily devotion will equip you with the strength you need and gives you peace and comfort throughout the day. Let’s anchor our faith in His Word!
I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. — Proverbs 8:17 (KJV)
In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success. —Proverbs 3:6 Living Bible
2. Listen to Uplifting Christian music.
Listen to songs that move and inspire– music has a great impact on our well being according to a research. Listening to Godly songs goes beyond nurturing our faith in God and praising Him, but also serves as mental, emotional, physical and social motivation.
“Music is truly the universal language, and when it is excellently expressed how deeply it moves our souls.” —David O. McKay
3. Rejoice in the Lord always.
A great way to incorporate your faith in your daily life is to rejoice and give thanks in all circumstances! Rejoice and celebrate that you are alive today and able to serve God and others! Rejoice knowing that God is in full control in every situation and circumstance.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Philippians 4:4 (KJV)
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18
4. Connect with other Believers
Find a group whether at school, at work, at the neighborhood or online community that offers Bible studies and prayer meetings throughout the week. Connecting with other believers is essential for our spiritual growth—being around with other Christians allows us to learn and grow in our faith. Through fellowship with other believers, we are encouraging and reminding each other of God’s faithfulness in times of hardship and difficulty.
And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:25 (NLT)
5. Be kind and tenderhearted
We try to find our roles in building God’s’ kingdom; and being kind, tenderhearted and forgiving are God’s attribute that we must possess. It is easier said than done, but the more we put it into action, the easier it becomes.
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)
6. Display your faith always
Yes, literally you can always display your faith every day. Surround your home or workplace with faith-based décor. Choose stuff, apparels and pieces of jewelry that naturally display your faith.
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NIV)
A daily walk of faithfulness isn’t really complicated. Humble yourself before God in prayer and reflect on His Word every day to remind yourself of His amazing grace and enduring love. Respond to His faithfulness through your words, thoughts and deeds. God bless us all!
