Marriage is for Keeps

Marriage isn’t a trial and error relationships, it isn’t just a kind of social contract that if it doesn’t work, you can always relinquish.  But, marriage is a sacred vow, it is a sacred covenant between a man, a woman and God, it’s a holy union.  Marriage is a lifetime commitment. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate. Mark 10:9.

Nevertheless, divorce is well accepted in our time, in our society, which can defile and break the sacred vow.

The Sacred Vow is a relevant film about marriage and divorce. The story revolves around the story of Doug and Amber, who were madly in love with each other and got married when they were still young and in college.

However, as time passes, their marriage has lost its spark.  Despite Amber’s faithfulness and commitment in their sacred vow, Doug gets bored and falls into an illicit affair with another woman who eventually insists him to file a divorce.  Amber agrees to sign the divorce papers, but in one condition—for 30 days, Doug will carry her every day to the front door when he leaves for work. Will the divorce push through or will Amber’s proposal save their marriage?

Doug agrees without knowing that Amber is hoping to fix their broken vows and to rekindle the lost romance.  As Dough carries Amber in his arms every day, the warmth of her embrace reignites the lost spark of their marriage once again.

The Sacred Vow is a heartwarming film to encourage and inspire couples who seem to lose their fondness and affection to each other.  It is a portrayal of a faithful and committed wife who fights for love and their marriage despite betrayal and infidelity.  It’s a message of forgiveness and reconciliation.
