You’re Not Alone

You’re Not Alone

You’re Not Alone

Each one of us has a cross to bear in life as a result of this fallen world we are living in.  In other words, everyone has burden or suffering to carry as a consequence of our own mistake and negligence or in the hands of another. Whatever it is, the bible has taught us to bear or help bear each other’s burden.

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2

Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous. 1 Peter 3:8

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. 1 Thessalonians 5:14

A Cross to Bear is a film about Erica Moses, abandoned by her mother, , dumped by her boyfriend, addicted to alcohol and a homeless mother of a newborn child.  And Ultimately, Erica is facing the most difficult part of her life’s journey—losing her innocent and helpless young child in a tragedy because of her drunkenness and neglect.

Devastated and distressed, with nowhere to turn, she finds herself on the doorstep of a woman’s shelter—Joan’s home. Joan is a former nurse who has dedicated her life to helping less fortunate women, helping women in need of a second chance. Will she accept help and overcome her past? Will she find forgiveness?

With the help of the people she meets in Joan’s home, Erica finds forgiveness and hope to overcome her past, open her heart to love, build a new life.

A Cross to Bear is a heartfelt compelling story of tragedy, forgiveness, redemption and faith— gives new meaning to the word “family” starring Danielle Deadwyler, Jackie Long, Kim Fields and Malinda Williams.

We have our own cross to bear, but you are not alone. God will never leave us nor forsake us. He will guide us to where we ought to be. Leaving the past behind is sometimes the hardest part of our life’s journey, but as the Scripture says:

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.  2 Corinthians 5:17

Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. Isaiah 43:18

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 2 Corinthians 5:17
